A self-professed nerd, Kevin Alsner graduated at the top of his class. No one doubted that Kevin was smart, but many found him strange due to his habit of wearing a binary-pattern cape to school every once in a while. He developed the alter-ego of Binaryman based on this habit.

Binaryman joined the It because he wanted to be a bona fide superhero. Despite wearing a cape, Binaryman has no super powers. His intelligence, however, has come in handy for the It numerous times.
